In new ads, Sanders takes shots at Biden, highlights praise from Obama

 

After a banner night for Biden, Sanders released two new TV ads in upcoming states signaling fresh worries about the former vice president.

One is a commercial that hits Biden over Social Security, a notable move into a more negative posture on the airwaves. The other features past commentary from former president Barack Obama praising Sanders.

Biden has been doing better than Sanders among older voters. And the former vice president has been reminding voters about his ties to Obama, who remains very popular among Democrats.

A third commercial takes a more oblique shot at Biden, declaring: “Only one candidate for president has consistently opposed every disastrous trade deal. And that candidate is Bernie Sanders.”
